I love the farm we live near by. They have so many animals to watch and pet and feed. And bonus, they have loads of goats who just love to be fed. Thankfully, I have a little one who just happens to love feeding goats!
He is so cute feeding goats. And I love that he is still talking about this experience.
Yup, today is my birthday. The big 3 0. I woke up to 30 balloons and a cute little banner and some flowers. Isn't he just sweet? This morning all I could think of was that episode of Friends, 'The One Where They all Turn Thirty' and just had to post this quote:
Rachel: You know? I'm still 29 in Guam.
Ross: Hey, 30 is not that old! Do you know how old the Earth is?
Rachel: Late 30's?
Here's to my 30's being absolutely awesome! Happy Wednesday everyone!!
Meet Brooklyn. She is part boxer, part beagle and she is sweet and lovable and absolutely adorable. We cuddled while I slept on an air mattress on the floor of my best friends house. Yeah, we have bonds now.
I just got back from an amazing weekend back home in Colorado. It was one of those trips where I was surrounded by old friends and laughter and stories from the 'good ole days' and late nights of college. It was a reunion of sorts and friends from all over the country (and world) came to get together and see old faces.
I loved this weekend.
My two best friends from college, Beth and Natalie. Natalie was home for a very short time from London and we just all had to see her while she was here.
Beth and her husband.
And their fur babies, Brooklyn and Berlin. They are so cute and they sure do love to cuddle.
And you can't go to Colorado in the summer without going to the Rockies game. Yes, we just had to find ourselves a Rocky Dog, which is just yummy goodness!
So total fail on my part. I packed my camera baby to capture all of our wonderful moments, because when we all get together is a time that you just don't want to forget. ever. But I got completely wrapped up with catching up and seeing favorite people I haven't seen in over years and talking about diaper changes and wedding planning and well, my camera just took a backseat.
But this trip was just wonderful. A great recharge.
I just wanted to share with you one of my favorite pictures from our time with my family in Wichita. My niece sharing a sweet moment with Sabrina. I just loved how it turned out.
I had plans to share with you some of our pictures from our time at the Missouri State Fair this week, but I leaving to go back home to Colorado for the weekend to see some friends for a fun reunion. It's my first trip alone, without kids or the hubby and I am excited!! I have lots of packing and cleaning and preparing to do so I promise fun pics on Monday!
I hope you all have a wonderful week and an even more enjoyable weekend!!
Sabrina made a new friend. When we visited with my brother and his family, his brother-in-law and wife and their daughter, Samantha came to visit as well(confusing, i know!). Sabrina is just a couple weeks older than Samantha and they had a blast meeting and playing together. So much that Samantha just crawled right up and literally sat in Sabrina's lap!
Wow! Can I just say a huge thank you and big hug to all of you! You guys really made my weekend and the kind words you wrote on my last posts just really made me smile. I love that there is such a great community of so many wonderful ladies through this blog world of ours.
You all are so inspirational and wonderful and I am grateful to be a part of something truly amazing!
I just had to post this picture from my weekend with my brother. Can I just say I love seeing that last name on a jersey?! It's my maiden name and seeing my brother wear it on his hockey jersey is just awesome!
Speaking of inspirational, my brother is just that. He is eleven years older than me, but I have always been close and have always looked up to him. He is an amazing son, father, uncle, brother and grandson and although nobody is perfect he seems pretty perfect to me. I am glad that this move has made us even closer, including location.
I have been going through all of our pictures from our from weekend in Wichita. We did so many things and I took so many picture that i am just trying to find the littlest of time to catch up.
This week has been a hard week for me. A lot of struggles and a lot of overwhelming emotions. But it's amazing how this blog and just taking pictures save me every time. I enjoy reading and admiring so many other blogs and their beautiful pictures. I love just sinking in and getting lost, going through my bazillion photos, remembering those wonderful moments and hoping to one day share those my memories with my kids. Sometimes, it really is just the small things that leave the biggest impressions on you.
I hope you all have a very wonderful friday and a happy weekend!
the best thing about moving to Kansas City so far? My nieces and nephew (and my sister-in-law and brother) live only three hours south in Wichita. I love these kids and I decided to pack up the boys and baby girl and head on out for some much needed family love. We stayed longer than planned and enjoyed every single minute spent with them.
this is one of many of my favorite pictures from our trip. After a long and fun day at the pool we decided to stay dressed in our swim suits and run through sprinklers and play in mud till the sun began to set and the air became cool enough to color the driveway.
I can't believe how big and mature my niece is! She is becoming so beautiful.
I know this looks like the same picture of Chase with one in color and the other black and white. But it's not. The black and white is the only picture of him looking right into the camera, while the color one he is staring off somewhere else. I love both pictures and I love them both in color and in black and white.
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband who loves all things fishing and technology. a mother to four beautiful and amazing munchkins. and a photographer who loves to capture the everyday moments. thanks so much for stopping by! hope you will visit often!
