we are finally on the mends of fighting nasty colds and upset tummies. i am hoping that this week is better than the last.

that kind of week.

It's been one of those weeks. You know that kind of week where the husband is gone all week and two out of the three kiddos have ear infections? You know, where the chandelier above your kitchen table decides it's had enough in life and just comes crashing down leaving you with dust and glass and dead bugs to clean up? The one where you rush a little on to the er(thankfully he is totally fine) and you wake up the next morning with the sore throat from death. Yes, it was one of those weeks where I was questioning what I did to make the universe hate me so much and begging for its forgiveness, when it decided to give me a small break and bless me with 66 degree sunny and perfect weather.

Once Fisher got off that bus from school, I loaded the kids into the stroller and we took a much needed walk. A walk were we stopped to find small tresures, and breaks at neighborhood parks and walked till we had no new places to explore.

We stayed and played and enjoy that sun for as long as we could.

So thank you sunny day for a much needed break. We loved soaking up your rays and feeling the warmth on our pale little cheeks. And thank you for tiring out little ones to give this tired mama a very welcomed and much needed good night sleep.

it's funny how quickly they pick up on things. like turning an old diaper box into a boat and going fishing. just like daddy does.

i am so blessed for these amazing and simply wonderful kids of mine. seriously, they make my day so much brighter!

this kid

I can't believe how much this kid of mine has grown. He is making some major progress and I am just overwhelmed with such happiness. We just met with his teachers and aids a couple days ago and they are so impressed with how fast and how smart he is. The language and social skills this kid has picked up in the last 5 months have been amazing! I am so proud of this little guy!

nap

he is almost three and insists that he no longer needs a nap. instead we have quiet time while baby sister naps. he usually plays or reads, but sometimes he crawls up into our couch and falls asleep.

he is getting so big, but i love it when he reminds me that he is still so little.

happy heart day

Happy Valentine's day everyone!

First off, I know I haven't posted anything in like a week! I am sorry. So sorry. But I have a really good excuse. For our anniversary, the hubby surprised me with a new computer(YAY!) but then he left for a week and nothing was set up on it so I waited patiently for his return and now I am back! 

I have to say, I really missed you guys and reading all of your blogs!

I have also been super sick and that is never fun, especially when one's husband is gone for the week. 

Thankfully we have been blessed with beautiful weather, so trips outside become a huge treat to little ones, and this mama can just sit and relax for a few minutes.

And can I just say that I am so loving how close these two are getting? It's so sweet to watch them play together.

I hope you all have a very wonderful and very beautiful Valentine's day! Can't wait to catch up!!

good morning

we had some pretty crazy thunderstorms last night. they were intense and loud and i thought for sure they were going to wake the kids up. thankfully they didn't, but they definitely kept me up.

So today we are having a lazy and snugly and wonderful rainy day while this mama re cooperates from the long night.

i have been totally slacking on the blog this week. so sorry for the lack of posts. i've been in a funk and well, spending a lot of the days keeping myself busy and occupied. but we have been having awesome weather here and a lot of days have been spent outside.
