it's been awhile since i have posted a bump pic! with being put on bedrest for 3 weeks and the husband being out of town, things just got a little bit crazy around here. but here we are, four weeks away from our due date! of course this little one could make its debut anytime now, which would be fine since we have been packed and ready for the last two weeks, but we will be excited whenever he or she decides to come!

i am seriously getting excited to meet this little person! i cannot tell you how much i already love this little one and i just know when i finally do get to meet him/her i am just going to melt! it's getting close guys!!

a little quiet around here

sorry it's been so quiet on this blog. we have been busy with last minute travels and fun before this new little one arrives. and apparently it seems like it might be sooner than we think! 

just last week i was lucky enough to get mastitis without even having a newborn to nurse! very rare, yes, and also very painful! then this week i have been experiencing horrible back pressure and cramps and when i went in to see my midwife she decide to do a fetal fibronectin test to see if i was more likely to go into early labor. she also checked my cervix and told me i was dilated a little over a one and about 60% effaced. my test also came back positive which means bedrest and steroids shots to help the baby's lungs develop and hopefully slow down my contractions some. as excited as i am to meet this little one, i am hoping he or she stays put just a little while longer and gets bigger and stronger.

so it might be just a little quiet around here while i lounge around and continue to bake this little one! hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

31 weeks

you can see previous bump pics here. Here we are, in the single digits of weeks counting down till baby arrives! It's crazy to me how fast time is really flying with this pregnancy. I am in full nesting mode and want to clean and scrub everything in sight. And afterwards, I want to do it all over again! I am definitely feeling a lot of pressure in my lower back and will have some pretty strong braxton hicks contractions through the day. When that starts to happen I start to panic just a little bit that I will soon be in labor and have to go through all that again. I don't feel ready for that. But the baby is doing well and growing right on schedule and I love feeling this little one move. 

Needless to say, I am super excited to meet this little one and bond and love him or her. It's crazy to think that we will be come a family of six in less than 9 weeks! 

Now if you will excuse me, I need to go scrub something! ;)

 wow! already to the 29th week of this pregnancy! time just seems to fly by for me right now! but i am definitely getting super excited to meet this little one! less than eleven weeks to go! today i had my wonderful glucose test done. i am not a big fan of this and it doesn't matter what flavor or how cold that drink is, i always feel like puking afterwards. hopefully all tests well and we don't have to do it again! it was wonderful listening to that beautiful and strong heart beat. 154 bpm! now we are on to dr. appointments every two weeks! before we know it this little one will be here!! can't wait!!

  so we are now in the double digits when it comes to counting down days till baby arrives! 98 to be exact! that is just crazy! I am super excited to me this little one. To find out if we are having another son or daughter and to see what little personality this little one has. I am super excited but also freaking out just a tiny bit, mostly because i feel like there is so much to do before this little person arrives but also because we are soon going to have FOUR tiny little people running around! but to be honest, even though that is extremely overwhelming to think about, when i am playing and laughing and just watching my kids I get this huge gush of happiness and warm fuzzy feelings to know that there is soon going to be another little person who is just as awesome and fun as my three already are. and that my friends makes me super happy!

on another note, i am starting to feel really pregnant and well, like i am getting huge! of course it doesn't help when your son's bus driver asks if you are having twins. way to make a pregnant women feel wonderful complete stranger. oh well, i have just a few short months and i will be busy loving a new baby. and i can't wait!!

now this mama is off on a solo vacation to catch up with some amazing friends and relax with family!! so excited!! have a great weekend everyone!!

24 weeks

It's been so long since I have posted a baby bump update that I just had to do one this week! Things have been just a little bit crazy around here and I feel like the hours of the day quickly slip away and I still have so much left to do! But with the time flying by I feel like this pregnancy is flying by too!

Wow! 24 weeks! Six months down and just three more to go! I am definitely feeling more pregnant as the Braxton hicks contractions pick up and the baby moves and kicks more harder. I am loving it though, knowing that this is the last time I will feel little flutters and kicks inside me and experience this special moment with this little one that no one else can. Both the baby and I are definitely growing and so far we are right on track. At our last appointment the baby's heartbeat was a strong 150 bpm! Up next, the wonderful glucose test!

21 weeks

today we had our big ultrasound! and even though we are waiting till birth to find out the sex of the baby i still couldn't wait to see this beautiful person growing inside of me. the baby was definitely moving and a little camera shy, hiding it's face into my stomach but we got to see the cute little profile and a strong heartbeat. we do however, have to go back for a more in depth ultrasound in a couple days due to a small shadow in the baby's stomach, but i was told not to worry and that 9 out of 10 times they go away and are nothing to stress over.(try telling that to a pregnant woman!) i also found out that i also have an anterior placenta, which explains why i only feel the baby kick on my left side. but i feel the baby moving quite often and even the husband has seen it move around. 

we do have to say that we are already so in love with this little person. i seriously haven't been able to stop looking at the cute profile pictures, trying to picture who this little one resembles the most. it's crazy to think that in a few short months this little one will be here! so excited!

first off, let me just explain that this isn't the best picture of me at 20 weeks, with what looks like the missing hand and all, but we quickly took this picture this morning on our way out to take our mr. chase to meet his new preschool teacher for next fall. so this is the best i could come up with. but i am excited to say that we are now halfway done! only 139 days left! we are super excited for next week when we have our big ultrasound! and even though we aren't going to find out the sex of the baby i am just really looking forward to seeing him or her and making sure he or she is healthy. this week i have been super exhausted and i am wondering if the baby is on a growth spurt or if i am just really tired. i definitely have a bump now and lots of strangers are asking about the due date. we are still discussing names and probably will till we meet this little person. as for now i am really enjoying this pregnancy and loving every move and kick and hiccup i feel!

19 weeks

So I definitely feel like this week my belly just popped! I look and am really starting feel pregnant. It's getting kind of crazy! I mean, we are almost halfway done people! and in a few short months will have this tiny little person in our arms and home. It's exciting and a little terrifying too but I am definitely loving this little person so far. I love feeling little flutters and strong little kicks every now and then. I love trying to picture what this little one is going to look like. I have my big ultrasound in two weeks when I am 21 weeks and I cannot wait for that day! I just want to see this little person and make sure everything is a-okay. I have been thinking of lots of names and Wayne and I have started discussing the ones we like. And every time I ask my Chase man if mommy is having a boy or girl he always says girl. He also says it's a baby sister in mommy's tummy so maybe he knows more than we do. Either way we are almost halfway done and we can finally meet this little one!

17 weeks and happy friday

We were lucky enough to have my mom and dad come up and spend a couple of days with us and the kiddos. The kids just love having their grandma and grandpa around and so we made sure to show them all of our favorite places in our new city. We kept pretty busy and I have lots of photos to show for it! But for now, some pretty fish.

We just got a new aquarium in kansas city so we took the grandparents to check it out!

And yesterday I became 17weeks pregnant with a very active little one! I went to see my midwife yesterday and even she told me this little one is quite active, which is just perfect in my book! The heartbeat was strong at 148 and I could just listen to that sound all the time. I have been pretty lucky to still be able to fit in regular clothes but i know that that will soon come to an end here. As for the pregnancy insomnia, it's already kicked in, which means i should be due for a nap here in a couple of hours! We get to finally see our little one again in four weeks and I cannot wait!

16 weeks

wow! sixteen weeks already, and i feel like i definitely have a bump now! the last two weeks have been crazy, i have been extremely fatigued and by 11 a.m i am just begging the kids to go down for naps. i have also been getting a lot of headaches lately but i got those a ton with the little miss we already have. other than that i am feeling pretty good and able to eat most things without getting sick. Yay! i love me some food around here! i definitely feel like i have a bump now, and even though i can still fit into regular clothing, i am not sure how much longer that will last! i am definitely looking forward to our appointment next week when we can listen to that beautiful heartbeat again! and then, it's the big ultrasound to see our little one. lots of fun things to look forward to in the next few weeks!

speaking of looking forward to, i am so looking forward to this weekend. can't wait to celebrate easter with the littles and play with cousins and friends!

14 weeks

here it is. my first time posting belly pics. since this is mostly likely our last little one, i thought it would be fun to document this pregnancy as much as i can. although, i probably wont post weekly pics but every so often pics.

well, the secret is out and so is my little belly. they say with the more pregnancies you have the earlier you start to show and i definitely feel like i am starting show. thankfully no maternity clothes aren't needed just yet. i am still just so excited for this little person we are creating. i am starting to feel a few little flutters every now and then and that just melts my heart. i think the kicking is the best part of pregnancy. so far i am starting to feel better about eating and things are getting a little easier. i am definitely craving sweets and would do anything for a reese peanut butter egg right now, but i can't get enough of cheddar cheese and sliced apples. so yummy. we got to hear this little's one heart beat for the first time a couple weeks ago! 135 bpm and the baby was definitely very active. and if you read above, we have decided to wait until the baby's birth to find out what we are having. the husband is very excited about this and i am trying my best to stay on board for as long as i can! ;)
