Carter Family :: Aurora, CO.

i was so excited that my last family session of 2012 would be back in my hometown of colorado capturing my best friend's beautiful family. i have known her since the seventh grade! we went through high school together. became college roommates together. i was a bridesmaid in her wedding and we  even became "aunts" to each other kids. she has been my greatest supporter when i began my passion for photography and when she asked if i would do her family portraits i literally squealed with excitement .. because i was that excited!!

so blessed and so grateful to have such amazing friendships with such amazing people!!

i love the photo challenges over at i heart faces. it's been awhile since i have participated but i just love summiting and looking at all of the other amazing and beautiful photos. 

this week's theme was favorite face from 2012. can i just tell you how extremely hard it is to pick just ONE favorite face. it took me awhile but i kept coming back to this sweet picture of one of the cutest little faces i got to capture in 2012. don't you just love that smile?

rock the shot :: favorite of 2012

my last family session from 2012 and i just absolutely loved this shot of such a beautiful family in the snowy hills of colorado.

  it's incredibly hard to pick a favorite but i just love this one. it's shows my growth and confidence as a photographer and i love the color and the moment captured.

a new year

okay 2013, i am ready to make this year a good one. i have lots of fun things in store for this year. for me, for my family and for this blog. i am ready to grow spiritually and creatively and i am ready to just push myself to my full potential.  it's going to be a wild ride but i think i might just enjoy it!
